| The Optical
Amplifier Protection Switch is the first of its
kind in the telecommunication industry. Using the
latest in optical switching technology, the Optical Amplifier Protection Switch provides 1:N
protection for optical amplifiers.
The protection switch is designed to work with existing
optical amplifiers, in either the 1310 or 1550 windows
and is protocol independent. It also offers the
capability of producing a maintenance window for
the protected amplifiers.
The Optical Amplifier Protection Switch is 1-RMU
(1.75") in height, is able to mount in either
a 19" or 23" telecommunication rack and
requires 48 vdc power (A & B Feed).
